NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Team Owner Sutton Motorsports Selects Ideas Squared

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) August 26, 2006

Ideas Squared is proud to announce that our agency has been named as the official marketing partner for Sutton Motorsports, a Huntersville, NC-based racing team competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

“Sutton Motorsports has one of the most compelling and exciting stories to tell in NASCAR today,” said Ideas Squared Jay Joyce. “Our job is to take that story and tell it to the media, fans and sponsors.”

Sutton Motorsports has a long history of professional racing, beginning in the 1940′s with Charlie Sutton in Maryland. The team’s current driver is Kelly Sutton, now the 3rd generation of the Sutton family to be in the sport. Kelly drives the number 02 truck in NASCAR’s Craftsman Truck Series. She is one of only two professional female drivers competing in NASCAR’s Top 3 tiers.

“Our immediate task is to assist Sutton Motorsports with their team sponsorship management and packaging,” said Joyce. “We are actively speaking with new potential sponsors to join this incredible driver and team. This is an extremely capital-intensive sport to remain competitive and team sponsorships sustain the drive for each long season of 25 races.”

Kelly Sutton has been racing since 1983 when she was just 12 years old. At age 16 she was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Her strong family, a winning combination of health practices and physician’s care, and Kelly’s determination to compete in the NASCAR level has kept her focused and in the competition.

Kelly is a national hero, mentor and role model for thousands of fans across the country, many of whom have MS themselves. She is an inspiration for men and women alike. In 2006, Kelly launched her ultimate goal of starting “Let It Shine – The Kelly Sutton Foundation”, which is a non-profit organization focused on helping people with MS who do not have the means to support themselves during relapse and/or immediate crisis situations.

“We are proud to have this once in a lifetime opportunity to work with such an outstanding team of business operators and competitive racing professionals in the Sutton family,” added Joyce. “Our role is to assist them in telling their story to potential team sponsors and helping these sponsors realize a true and meaningful impact by association with Kelly Sutton and the number 02 truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.”
